There, they encounter airship pirates and strange atmospheric phenomena, and are mistaken for representatives of the Spanish Inquisition. It’s very GREEN isn’t it? Did you notice that the parasol is primrose colored? Yes, I did get to help choose the model. It took me a bit to get the color profile but now I really like it. I find it striking and unusual.

Which one could Australian readers buy, to be more supportive of YOU, as an author? Like, will you get more money from the UK/AU edition or something?
And secondly, are there differences in the actual text? Like do they take creamer in their coffee or some other American stuff in the American editions that will annoy Australian/UK readers?
Hum. Well honestly, whatever you can get? It’s usually pretty difficult to get books down there no matter what. Honestly the old rule applies which is here: https://gailcarriger.com/2017/07/03/5-most-common-questions-this-author-gets-from-readers-about-being-an-author-occasional-faq/ see #4.
Frankly, Australia is even more complicated than what I go into there. What with shipping and everything else that goes into getting a book to you, it probably works out about the same for either print edition. So… whichever one you like more? The thing I make the most money on, generally, is digital self pub. So the UK edition in digital format will put the highest % in my pocket, but then I also charge a greta deal less for them. On print editions, my cut is very small indeed, whether self published or not. Because I can’t get the distribution and wholesale deals my trad gets, but they take a higher %, while in order to compete at all in print as a self publisher, I have to sink most of the costs myself, so I still make very little per book. I knwo that’s a lot of an answer, but in the end? Pink whatever makes you happiest. That’s my end goal.
